Picture your event like a musical, it is a production which combines the talents of different groups of people from your Photographer, caterer, entertainer and even your wedding party. Your event can be divided up into its different acts and scenes. Starting with your ceremony, then formal reception and the dance. Imagine what a musical would be like if no one knew their lines, or the songs to sing. Preparation is what makes a musical a Broadway hit and your event is your opening night.

Each set of features is divided into Acts, which you can quickly move to though the navigation links on the left.

The services provided by TJ the DJ are based on years of experience and networking with many professional Performers and entertainers from all over North America. The evolution of services has become a must for any professional entertainer, a professional spends the time to assist you in creating an event that is uniquely you. TJ the DJ allows you to create your event based on your needs and wants, along with expert guidance and support. You can feel confident that you are in control and that TJ the DJ is working for and with you.

You wont find a “package” with TJ the DJ, you will find a wholly customizable selection of features that you can select to create your event. Packages are restrictive and limiting, they do not allow you the freedom to create an event that you can claim as your own. A professional entertainer has the knowledge and ability to be flexible and meet your needs as they develop. You create your package, so you can feel confident in the results that you are looking for.

Each feature includes a “ Estimated Time” this is an average of hours I personally put into each feature in preparation, meetings and on site work based on your continuos input. As your employee you deserve to know what work is being done on your behalf. in addition you want a Professional who is going to put quality into one of the most important events of your life, or for a business your investment. All weddings start at about $1200 (determined by over all time)

TJ the DJ goes one step further in providing clients with an online protected page where details can be viewed of their contract, meeting notes and other details as well as a running tally of the estimated time TJ the DJ has put into their event which is updated though out the preparation process. Know with confidence that you are receiving value on your entertainment investment. TJ the DJ is the first to offer this type of service.

Included with any program is 2 Million in Liability Insurance, AVLA Licensed Music, back up sound equipment, wireless microphone system available for speeches/toasts. Professional Sound System suitable for a medium sized room/hall for 150 - 200 people, travel with in 30 KM of Red Deer and a small light show designed not to irritate guests and tastefully illuminate dance floor and a completely comprehensive Contract.

TJ the DJ sets up several hours before expected to play to completely check and test all sound equipment and special music, as well, available for those giving speeches/toasts to sound check them selves and rehearse before guests arrive where possible.

Many Features listed can be combined to reduce the over all time investment. Times are estimated and may not reflect actual time invested on that feature. Your Initial Quote produced when meeting with TJ the DJ in person will better reflect the quality preparation planned for your event.

Act 1: The Ceremony

  • Back Ground Music for seating and exit of ceremony. est - 2 hours
  • Music Program played on cue for each portion of the ceremony. The amounts of cues to be determined. est - 2+ hours (depends on cues and editing required for music selections.
  • Sound Support on Officiate, Bride & Groom for PA Broadcast. est 2+ hours. Includes features not listed publicly.
  • Rehearsal consultation (present at rehearsal for cues, timing, pacing etc) est 2+ hours
  • Rehearsal Dinner Entertainment. est 3+ hours
  • Meetings as required to work on details, confirm cues, songs plan agenda and any other needs. est 2 hours per meeting.

Act 2: The Formal Reception

  • Cocktail Music, clients choice.  est 2 hours
  • The Grand Entrance, Choreographed program to whip up the guests to the arrival of the wedding party. est 1 hour or less with planning.
  • Dinner Music, clients choice est 2+ hours
  • Customized themes for speeches & toasts. est 2 hours
  • Presentations, Singing, performance, slide/video shows. est 1+ hours
  • Master of Ceremonies Consultations/Instruction est 2+ hours
  • Speech Consultation/Instruction est 2+ hours (Varies by # of people)
  • Choreographed Formal Presentation. Combing many of the elements above. est 5+ hours.
  • Custom Voice Overs, Messages, and/or Presentations.
  • Wedding Games/Trivia est 2 hours.
  • Social Music Clients Choice (Played between end of Formal Reception and Dance usually a 20 min smoke/bathroom break often when tables moved for opening dance floor) est 1 hour.
  • Cutting of the Cake customized music and/or choreographed presentation. est 1 hour or less.
  • Meetings as required to work on details, confirm cues, songs plan agenda and any other needs. est 2 hours per meeting.

ACT 3: The Dance

  • Formal Dances Introductions, cues, invitation and music planing. 1 hour
  • Pre-request, play & do not play lists consultation meeting est 2 hours
  • Bouquet/Garter Toss, music cues/editing, dances or games. est 1+ hours
  • Special dedications, dance invitations. est 1 hour
  • Mid night lunch clients choice, entertainment est 1+ hours
  • Dance games, spot dances etc clients choice est 1+ hours
  • Last Dance song, mix, cues, introductions.
  • Grand Send Off, choreographed send off of Bride and Groom involving guests. Music planing, cues, editing. May also involve props at extra cost. est 1+ hours
  • Meetings as required to work on details, confirm cues, songs plan agenda and any other needs. est 2 hours per meeting.

Additional Features

The following features have additional costs and are available by request in addition to the client customized features list.

  • Stag & Doe Parties Either Solo or Combined. Prices Vary based on the type of entertainment requested.
  • Gift Opening Entertainment Have Music and PA for your gift opening. Announce the Grifter and the Gift also back ground music for a Brunch.
  • Consulting Services for those who have already booked a Band or DJ.
  • Add a larger light Show - $200.00
  • Up - lighting effect. - Price varies based on over all fixture count.
  • Add a Smoke / Fog Machine - $200.00
  • Larger Sound System - $400.00 * May be required for larger halls and groups.
  • Screen, laptop and Projector for Slide show: $500.00
  • MC Consultation Reception Planning and Time Line. MC Coaching - $500
  • Add Game Show elements: Wedding Games and Bride and Groom Trivia. - $200
  • Add The Amazing Game Show Experience (2 hour show) - Call for Customized Quote and Availability.

If I am unfamiliar with your chosen location of the hall I will also visit the location and create a floor plan so that I may further improve on my services to you. (within reasonable driving distance) or obtain a map for the lay out of the location.
